AXIOM’s latest appointment boosts the delivery of pragmatic materials engineering solutions

AXIOM, an award-winning engineering consultancy is delighted to welcome a further recruit to its expanding team of engineering specialists. Adam Lawther joins AXIOM as Materials Engineering Lead following accelerated growth in the demand for specialist Materials consultancy including failure analysis, corrosion and welding consultancy.

With 17 years of experience supporting top-tier COMAH sites, Adam will collaborate with clients to deliver failure analysis reports and undertake materials testing in AXIOM’s laboratory, providing surface replication assessments, macro and micro hardness testing and microstructural assessments. Accomplished in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Adam will also deliver support to AXIOM’s Inspection Department in the timely execution of Written Schemes of Examination.

Prior to joining the business, Adam has demonstrated a strong track record in driving successful operations at leading UKAS- accredited laboratories at British Steel and Tata Steel in addition to the preventative maintenance of ISO9001 quality systems and documentation. Additional responsibilities include fostering a positive, safety culture, successful project execution, review and maintaining plant integrity in addition to supporting internal and external audits.
