Christmas charity donation success for Axiom
As in previous years, rather than sending Christmas cards to all clients, AXIOM Engineering Associates Ltd decided to make a donation for the sum of £1000.00 split between four separate charities nominated by employees. Although the selection of charity proved difficult, the organisations chosen to have the opportunity to receive funds were: The Guide for the Blind Association, National Eczema Society, MND Association and ME North East.
All recipients of this year’s AXIOM Christmas e-card were then asked to vote on the charities named and the donation divided according to the number of votes received. With the votes counted and verified following the Christmas break, the results of the voting translated into the award of the following donations:-
The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association: £320.00
National Eczema Society: £280.00
MND Association: £240.00
ME North East: £160.00
An additional sum of £50.00 was also donated to Zoes Place Baby Hospice, the charity selected by this year’s winner, Steve Gray of the AXIOM winter image competition held at Guisborough Photo Group.
Rob Johnson, Director said,”We would like to thank everyone who participated in the voting. Strength of the voting along with feedback from our clients has clearly demonstrated the support for this AXIOM initiative. This will remain one of our key charitable activities as part of our ongoing commitment to support the invaluable work carried out by both local and national charitable organisations.”
